Al Betz ~ The Benefits of Outfluence

Al Betz currently lives in Carroll County, Maryland.  Al was an official court reporter in the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland for seven years.  In 1977 Al formed his court reporting and litigation support business, today known as Al Betz & Associates, Inc.  Al was a pioneer in the development of CAT.  In 1973 he was invited by the Federal Judicial Center to participate in a pilot program to test the efficacy of CAT in the U.S. Courts.  This successful experiment lifted Al to national prominence as a leader in CAT.

In 1996 Al formed The Life Histories Center, publishers of personal life stories of its clients.  One of the more interesting projects the company participated in was the story of Daniel Lee, a passenger in the airplane that struck the second of the World Trade Center Towers on Sept. 11, 2001.

His experience writing the stories of others inspired Al to write a book entitled “Polishing the Pearl, the Art of Professional Performance”.  A chapter in the book on a topic called Silent Marketing, which as grown into a larger topic called Outfluence, speaks to Al’s early life experiences as a timid boy and an unsophisticated young adult.  Al credits his discovery of Outfluence and his applications of its principles over his lifetime with his happiness as a human being and his success as a businessperson.  Since March 2006 he has traveled the U.S. speaking to audiences about the many benefits of Outfluence.
